2nd ASP Associate Online Symposium 2017
The American Society for Photobiology is pleased to announce the second Associate Online Symposium.
The goal of the ASP Associate Online Symposium is to provide ASP Associate members and those interested in being Associate members, a platform to promote their research in an online environment and to be reviewed by their research peers. Participants will need to initially submit an abstract (no more than 300 words) and if their application is successful, will be invited to submit a technical poster, a poster video and/or a short video clip (from three to five minutes) that explains with minimal technical jargon the main aims of their research that can be used for outreach and engagement.
June 9: Abstract Submission Deadline
June 30: Abstract Acceptance Notice
August 1: Poster/Video Clip etc. Submission Deadline
August 1-21: Poster Judging (by Committee and by Peers)
After August 21 (TBD): Announcement of Winners
Abstracts should be submitted by the due date to be eligible for prizes and to verify that the abstracts and the applicants meet eligibility criteria. Late abstracts may be allowed to participate in the symposium but will not be eligible to be considered for a prize.
Other important criteria: Applicants who wish to be considered for prizes must be Associate ASP members.
Applicants who are not members will not be eligible for prizes, however if they meet all other entry criteria may submit an application to include their work in the symposium (subject to abstract acceptance). Non-members will be encouraged to join to be considered for a prize.
